The following are strictly prohibited and may result in termination and forfeiture of profits:
- Latency / Feed Exploitation: trading on delayed, external, or manipulated data feeds; gap trading or reverse arbitrage.
- Arbitrage: including triangular, statistical, spatial, or yield curve arbitrage, or similar market-making practices.
- Copy / Group Trading: mirroring trades across multiple individuals or coordinating to manipulate outcomes.
- Cross-Account Hedging: hedging between FundingEra accounts or between a FundingEra account and an external broker.
- AI / HFT Abuse: using ultra-high-frequency bots or automated systems to exploit latency or tick flow.
- Unrealistic Exposure: grid, martingale, tick scalping, or one sided “betting” strategies.
- Third-Party Access: allowing another person or entity to operate the account.
- Illiquid Order Tactics: manipulating order books or exploiting off-market pricing.
- Revenge Trading : opening new positions immediately after a losing trade without respecting the mandatory 5 minute cool down period, impulsive re entries or increased lot sizes aimed at quickly recovering losses are classified as gambling behavior.
Conditions of Funding
Meeting the profit target is required to receive funding; however, FundingEra also reviews how the challenge was passed and the trader’s prior behavior. In rare cases where trading behavior raises risk or compliance concerns, Conditional Funding may be granted instead of denying funding.
Examples include:
- Reverse hedging
- Excessive order spamming
- Passing via a single high-risk or “lucky” trade
- Consistently high-risk strategies
- Repeated account rolling
These behaviors may resemble prohibited practices under FundingEra rules. As a precaution, FundingEra may apply temporary or permanent restrictions, such as:
- Reduced leverage
Applied conditions may remain in place for the entire lifecycle of the funded account, unless removed by the Risk Team.
All decisions are final and non-negotiable.
